I'm Crystal, the CEO of CLR Solutions Group™, host of Thee HR Chick podcast, HR Executive, and Business Owner. With over 20 years of experience in various HR roles, including serving as a Senior Director of HR for one of the largest distribution channels in the US, I deeply understand the unique challenges businesses face with Federal and state employment regulations and federal contractor obligations.

My journey to becoming an HR Executive and Business Owner was anything but easy. Growing up in neighborhoods like Canarsie and Fort Greene projects, I lacked access to educational resources and financial freedom. College, scholarships, and career options were foreign concepts to me. I had to learn everything independently, navigating the corporate world without guidance. It often felt like I crawled while others sprinted up the corporate ladder.

Without access to mentors or leaders in the HR field, I made mistakes and faced numerous obstacles, but I never gave up on my dreams. Despite being told I wasn't smart enough, didn't fit the mold, or was too young for an executive role, I persevered. As my family's sole breadwinner, problem solver, and caregiver, giving up was not an option. I made sacrifices and developed a plan to turn my dreams into reality.

Then, something extraordinary happened. By following simple leadership techniques, I landed my dream job and salary. But I didn't stop there. I realized that if I could create HR and business systems for other companies, I could do it myself. I developed a business plan, procedures, and agreements, leading to two successful businesses generating revenue within the first year. Through these ventures, I discovered tips and techniques that propelled my career and businesses forward.
